Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below a value of 10 are of face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly act as the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven and five produces a value of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the foll. standards:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from betting on a tie. However odds are especially better – nine to one vs. eight to one)

Played effectively, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future events. Tracking of old conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-six method. This tactic is used to build up payout and minimizing risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
