Baccarat Rules

Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the beginning digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a score of 1 (5 plus six = 11; drop the first ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt based on the rules below:

- If the gambler or house achieves a value of eight or 9, the two players hold.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, she hits. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler stays, the bank hits on 5 or less. If the player takes a card, a table is used to figure out if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19:20 (even money less a 5 percent rake. Commission are recorded and paid off when you leave the table so make sure you have money left over just before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Wagered on properly baccarat banque provides pretty decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Banque Method

As with all games Baccarat has quite a few general false impressions. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of future outcomes. Recording previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most accepted and probably the most acknowledged strategy is the one, three, two, six tactic. This method is used to pump up winnings and limit risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a sum total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you succeed you will hold six on the game table, subtract four so you are left with 2 on the third bet. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down 2 on the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth round.

Should you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial bet followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of two. Success on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a gain of two. And wins on the first three with a hit on the 4th means you are even. Succeeding at all four rounds leaves you with 12, a take of ten. This means you will be able to lose the second round five instances for every favorable streak of 4 rounds and still balance the books.
