Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under 10 are worth their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as 5 results in a total score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the following standards:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays eight to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. be wary of putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are supremely better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

Played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of old conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-six method. This scheme is deployed to build up payout and limiting risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
