Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than ten are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven as well as five gives a total of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pay out eight to 1 but on occasion nine to 1. (This is a terrible bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are remarkably better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

When done properly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of previous conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-six method. This schema is deployed to increase winnings and reducing risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
