Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are valued at face value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely act as the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven … five will have a score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be played depending on the foll. codes:

- If the player or banker has a score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Victorious wagers on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes 9 to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are noticeably better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat offers generally decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Monitoring of previous conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and possibly most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six technique. This tactic is deployed to magnify profits and minimizing risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
