Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are said to be worth face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven … five produces a score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be given out depending on the following codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pays 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Still, odds are substantially better – nine to one vs. eight to one)

When done correctly, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future results. Monitoring of historic conclusions on a chart is for sure a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-six method. This tactic is deployed to pump up earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
