Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are of their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely appear as the 2 hands to be played).
2 hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … 5 results in a total score of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be given depending on the foll. rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or nine, each players stand.
- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays 8 to 1 and on occasion nine to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. However odds are decidedly better – nine to one versus eight to one)
When done effectively, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with most games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of old outcomes on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most established and possibly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-six method. This schema is used to magnify profits and lowering risk.
commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
