Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than 10 are valued at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely represent the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as 5 will have a value of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be played depending on the following codes:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pay out eight to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are far better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)
When played properly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of previous results on a chart is a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and probably most successful strategy is the one-three-two-6 method. This scheme is deployed to accentuate winnings and minimizing risk.
Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you lose on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
