Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of 10 are of face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just portray the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for every hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five gives a tally of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be dealt depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, each players stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pay 8 to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

When played accurately, baccarat offers pretty good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of past conclusions on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the one-3-2-six scheme. This method is used to build up successes and controlling risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
