Baccarat Rules and Scheme

Punto Banco Policies

Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, although the 1st number is ignored. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a value of one (5 plus 6 equals eleven; drop the 1st ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a total of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the player has less than five, she hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stays, the banker takes a card on a value less than 5. If the player hits, a table is used to see if the bank stays or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (even payout less a five percent rake. The Rake is tracked and paid off once you quit the game so be sure to have cash around just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie frequently pay eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)

Gambled on properly baccarat chemin de fer gives pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has a few general misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking previous outcomes on a page of paper is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and probably the most favorable scheme is the one-three-two-six tactic. This plan is employed to maximize winnings and minimizing losses.

Begin by betting 1 chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a grand total of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third round. Should you win the third wager, add two on the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of two. Success on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And wins on the first three with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all four rounds leaves you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd bet five instances for every successful streak of four rounds and still balance the books.
