Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are worth their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as five produces a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given depending on the following guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to one and on occasion nine to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties will happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. However odds are significantlly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When done accurately, baccarat presents pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of previous outcomes on a chart is definitely a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful technique is the one-three-2-6 scheme. This method is used to maximize profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
