Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards below a value of 10 are valued at face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five has a score of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the foll. practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played properly, baccarat offers relatively good odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Tracking of historic outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-6 technique. This method is employed to accentuate winnings and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
