Baccarat Policies and Method
Punto Banco Principles
Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are worth face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the total of the two cards, but the 1st number is discarded. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus 6 equals 11; ditch the 1st ‘one’).
A third card may be given based on the following rules:
- If the gambler or bank achieves a score of 8 or 9, the two players hold.
- If the gambler has less than five, he takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player stands, the house takes a card on a total less than 5. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (even payout minus a five percent rake. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you quit the table so make sure you still have funds left over just before you leave). Winning wagers on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for a tie typically pays out at eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on properly baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games baccarat banque has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a absurdity in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future outcomes. Recording past outcomes on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most established and likely the most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 tactic. This plan is employed to pump up winnings and limit risk.
Start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will retain 6 on the game table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third round. Should you win the 3rd wager, deposit 2 to the four on the game table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a hit of one. A profit on the initial bet followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all 4 wagers gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd round 5 times for each successful run of 4 wagers and in the end, experience no loss.
