Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules and Method

Punto Banco Regulations

Punto banco is played with eight decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the sum of the cards, although the 1st digit is discarded. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (5 plus 6 = eleven; ignore the initial ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt using the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, the two players hold.

- If the player has less than 5, she hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stands, the banker hits on 5 or less. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to see if the bank holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money less a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you quit the table so be sure to have money left before you depart). Winning bets on the player pay 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as ties happen lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be wary of gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8 to 1)

Bet on properly baccarat banque offers relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Course of Action

As with all games Baccarat has a few accepted misconceptions. One of which is close to a myth in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events about to happen. Keeping track of past outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most acknowledged scheme is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This technique is employed to pump up winnings and minimizing losses.

Begin by wagering 1 chip. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a grand total of 3 dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold six on the table, remove 4 so you are left with 2 on the third bet. If you win the third wager, deposit two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Success on the first two with a loss on the third gives you with a take of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the 4th means you break even. Succeeding at all 4 bets gives you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd wager 5 times for every favorable run of four bets and in the end, balance the books.
