Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are said to be at face value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 results in a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay eight to 1 and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are richly better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

When played properly, baccarat presents pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is not an actual indicator of future events. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and feasibly most successful technique is the 1-3-two-6 scheme. This tactic is employed to increase payout and controlling risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
