Baccarat Rules and Scheme
Baccarat Principles
Baccarat is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, although the first number is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus 6 = eleven; drop the initial ‘one’).
A third card could be given using the following rules:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or 9, both players stay.
- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise hold.
- If the gambler stands, the house hits on a value lower than 5. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to decide if the bank stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5% rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you quit the table so be sure to still have money left over before you quit). Winning wagers on the gambler pays one to one. Winning wagers for a tie frequently pays 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than one in every ten hands. Be cautious of betting on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Gambled on properly baccarat banque provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy
As with all games baccarat banque has some established false impressions. One of which is close to a false impression in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of future actions. Keeping score of previous results on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most accepted and probably the most acknowledged method is the one, three, two, six method. This technique is used to maximize earnings and minimizing risk.
Start by placing one chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the game table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. Should you succeed you will retain six on the game table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you succeed on the third round, add two to the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you do not win on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first round followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Success on the 1st two with a loss on the third provides you with a take of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you will be able to not win on the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and in the end, are even.
