Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are said to be at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely portray the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven as well as five produces a total of 2 (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the following standards:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, then both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pay out eight to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are significantlly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When done smartly, baccarat provides generally good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of last conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and probably most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-six technique. This tactic is used to build up payouts and lowering risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
