Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are valued at face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for every hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a tally of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A third card could be given out depending on the following standards:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie customarily pay eight to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Still, odds are significantlly better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)
When done effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of prior results on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful method is the 1-three-two-six concept. This method is employed to pump up profits and minimizing risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
